Dahua Donates Leading-Edge Security Equipment to World Skills UK National Competition

Dahua Technology has donated a range of security equipment to World Skills UK, the organisers of WorldSkills UK national competitions, where students and apprentices compete in electronic security systems engineering challenges – among other sectors.

The finals for the electronic security systems and fire alarm systems categories were held at Wigan and Leigh College. Equipment donated by Dahua included:

• ·         Thermal network mini hybrid eyeball camera

• ·         Bluetooth contactless access control card reader
• ·         8-port PoE switch
• ·         24-inch FHD monitor with ultra-narrow bezel, anti-glare and ultra-light base.

The winners of the electronic security systems category of the WorldSkills UK were announced at a glittering awards ceremony at Manchester’s Bridgewater Hall, following six months of local and regional qualifiers culminating in two days of National Finals.

They are:

Gold:                            Matt Edmondson - DCA Security Systems - Skills for Security
Silver:                          Harry Dickson - EFT Systems - Skills for Security
Bronze:                        Stephen Hyland - Dalkia UK - Belfast Metropolitan College
Highly Commended:       Jamie Pearson - King Communications & Security - New College Lanarkshire
