1. Definition
“Warranty” means the Customer’s rights in case the product does not maintain its quality after delivery.
If Dahua’s signing entity is incorporated under the laws of the People's Republic of China or the laws of Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China, the warranty period shall commence from the 60th day after the shipping date of the Products. If Dahua’s signing entity is not incorporated under the laws of the People's Republic of China or the laws of Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China, the warranty period shall commence from the 30th day after the shipping date of the Products. The shipping date of the Products shall be determined by the serial numbers of the shipped Products or Dahua’s internal records. If the last valid date of warranty period is a statutory public holiday in the country of Dahua’s signing entity, the first working day after that holiday shall be the last valid day.
For Dahua Wi-Fi products, if an activation record exists, the warranty period starts from the product activation date. Warranty Period shall expire according to the following chart depicting the Warranty Period. Warranty Period mentioned herein below applies to the Product only, excluding any wearing parts.

| 5) DOA (Defect on Arrival): Any claim in respect to DOA shall be made in writing by Customer to Dahua within 90 days from Dahua's shipment date. After Dahua’s confirmation of the DOA, Dahua shall replace it with a new product. Note: Packing defects are not included. | ||
3. Within Warranty Period.
Products still within the Warranty Period shall be repaired by Dahua at its own expense and costs, subject to the terms and conditions herein. However, Customer shall pay for shipping, including but not limited to freight, insurance, taxes, import/export fees, to ship the defective product to Dahua. In turn, Dahua shall pay for shipping, including but not limited to freight, insurance, taxes, import/export fees, to ship the repaired product to the Customer.
4. Outside Warranty Period.
Products that are outside the Warranty Period shall be repaired by Dahua only after (1) Customer is provided by Dahua with an estimated cost of the repairs of the defective products; and (2) Customer provides Dahua with a written approval to commence the repairs on the defective products. Dahua’s repairs for defective products outside of the warranty period shall be at the cost of the Customer, which may include, but not be limited to, labour cost, components cost, testing cost, and any associated costs of shipping/freight. If Customer does not reply to Dahua within 15 calendar days from the date Dahua notifies Customer of the estimated cost for repairs on the defective product, then Dahua shall return to Customer said defective product freight collect.
During [90] days from the shipping date, if permitted by applicable laws and regulations, once a Product is proven to be not fit for purpose in accordance with the product’s manual, Customer has the right to have the product repaired or replaced. In the case of replacing the product, the Customer needs to send the detailed malfunction information email [UK: rma.uk@dahuatech.com ROI: rma.eur@dahuatech.com] to the after-sales staff. Once the information is confirmed, the Customer should mail the defective product to the designated Dahua service location. The after-sales department will replace said product freely with the same type specification product or accessories. If the same type specification product or accessories have been discontinued, the defective product or accessories should be replaced with a product or accessories whose performance is not lower than the defective ones.
Customer has the obligation to provide After-Sale Services at its own cost to its customers unless the mandatory applicable laws and regulations provide contrary.
6. Standard Service failure
In case the Standard After-Sale Services are not fulfilled by Dahua for one specific Product, Dahua could issue an equivalent voucher to the Customer to replace the fulfilment of the Standard After-Sale Service for such specific Product. The amount of the voucher is equal to the discounted price, excluding tax on such Product in the latest Order. Please refer to Dahua's official After-Sale Services website: https://support.dahuasecurity.com/en/ServicePolicy for further details. The vouchers issued to the Customer may be used by the Customer to offset future orders. The voucher amount used for deduction shall not exceed 20% of the total amount of one Order. Once issued, the voucher shall expire within one calendar year from the date the voucher is issued.
7. Exemptions.
When any malfunction or damage occurs to the Products due to any of the following reasons, Dahua has the right to refuse to repair, or Dahua could collect a proper cost for the materials and man-hours for the repair, as the case may be:
1. Due to force majeure events (natural disasters, fires, wars, etc.) causing damage to Dahua's Products;
2. Normal fading, wear, and consumption during Products’ use, do not affect the uninterrupted and proper functioning of the Products;
3. The Product fails to function properly due to the use of pirated, non-standard, self-developed, or third-party unpublished software; or the licensed software is modified in any way by anyone other than Dahua without Dahua's permission, or the licensed software is used beyond the scope and limitations of the license agreement.
4. Software system service failures and interruptions caused by adjustments to the Customer's local policies or maintenance by the network service provider.
5. Dahua does not warrant that the Software will run uninterrupted or error-free, or that all errors will be corrected;
6. Damage to the system caused by Customer infrastructure factors such as falls, crushing, high temperatures, corrosion, foreign object ingress, or poor electrical environments; as well as direct damage resulting from on-site equipment operating conditions (e.g., humidity) or external factors (e.g., external electromagnetic interference, faults in interconnected devices, etc.) failing to meet the documented environmental requirements for normal operation of the Products;
7. Damage caused by the intentional or negligent failure of the Customer or a third party to use, maintain, or store the Product as required; unauthorized relocation or re-installation of the system without Dahua's approval; unauthorized adjustment, modification, or deletion of identification marks resulting in damage or deliberate sabotage leading to large-scale hardware or data damage to Dahua's Products, as well as resulting software malfunctions.
8. Software system service failures and interruptions caused by the Customer’s own local policy adjustments or ISP department maintenance reasons;
9. The Product model or number on the certificate does not match the actual product; unauthorised alteration or marking of the device surface or hard drive without Dahua's approval; absence of manufacturer name, address, production date, product serial number, product certification, or warranty card, or if the product serial number and labels are illegible, damaged, or unidentifiable;
10. The warranty period has expired according to this warranty policy or the contract signed with the Customer;
11. Discounted Products and demonstration Products (i.e., samples), as well as free gifts, are not covered by this warranty policy. In such cases, the warranty period should be specified in a contract agreed upon by both parties.
