Dahua Statement on U.S. Legislation passed on May 24th 2018


The U.S. House passed a bill on May 24th, 2018. It included an amendment to prohibit US government agencies from using Chinese-made video surveillance equipment and applies to Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd., along with other Chinese companies.

The following statement is an official response from Zhejiang Dahua Technology Co., Ltd

Dahua Technology dedicates 10% of its revenue to R&D annually. It takes cyber security enhancement seriously and sets cyber security as a high priority. Dahua has established systematic protection mechanisms including, but not limited to, organization, procedure, technology and service. For example, and first in the global video surveillance industry, on May 24th, 2018, Dahua’s products, which includes IP cameras and network video recorders, have been certified by TÜV Rheinland as meeting the TÜV Rheinland 2PfG 2624/06.17 standard, A requirement derived from Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (General Data Protection Regulation). Dahua Technology is committed to continuous enhancement and will keep providing customers with reliable products featuring personal data security and data subject rights protection.
