Overview
In July 2022, the construction of the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Ashgabat commenced. The project includes the development of a modern campus with four academic buildings, two student dormitories (with a capacity of 300 students each), a library, a canteen, and both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. After careful deliberation, the institution partnered up with Dahua to equip their facilities with the company’s intelligent solutions, efficiently monitoring their greenfield campus 24/7.
Requirements/Challenges
As a newly established university committed to advanced security standards, the campus requires surveillance cameras that deliver 4K ultra-HD resolution. Each device must provide clarity at 3840×2160 pixels with HDR support, ensuring that features are clearly identifiable, even in low-light situations.
In addition, in order to implement next-generation threat detection, the system also needs real-time behavioral analytics for intrusion and perimeter protection, accompanied by immediate push notifications. After an incident, AI-powered forensic search capabilities should facilitate attribute-based video searches across a 90-day archive. What’s more, a command center is crucial to address the requirements of modern security governance.
The need for smart classrooms is also imperative. Interactive whiteboards are ideal to support smart classroom development, with great focus on intuitive touch and pen functionality, smooth multimedia integration, and teacher-friendly interfaces that boost student engagement and promote digital literacy.
To support fast-track campus commissioning and efficient deployment, Dahua must supply pre-tested, plug-and-play equipment, with installation designed to minimize disruption through modular deployment and remote debugging capabilities.
Solutions
Spanning more than 100 hectares, a campus of this scale would normally require 700–1,000 surveillance channels. However, the university has achieved a complete 4K ultra-HD coverage using only 500 channels, significantly lowering equipment procurement and installation cost, especially across perimeter zones and open areas. SMD 4.0 technology further simplifies the deployment of the project.
Moreover, smart monitoring delivers real-time alerts for intrusions, tripwire breaches, and violent incidents such as fights or falls, greatly improving emergency response. The advanced AcuPick intelligent search technology allows precise personnel tracking that enables operators to locate video footages with a single click, boosting search efficiency by 99% and ensuring simple, accurate, and reliable results.
For smart classrooms, the Dahua DeepHub smart interactive whiteboards transform campus infrastructure by enabling smooth, intuitive interactive teaching. It promotes digital literacy while streamlining lesson delivery, fostering dynamic, technology-driven classrooms for modern education.

With Dahua’s intelligent solutions, the International University of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs in Turkmenistan is now equipped with smart technologies that ensure a safe and conducive learning environment. This project has become a flagship example for university campuses across the country. the university’s establishment as a model of modern educational infrastructure in the region. Through this collaboration, Dahua has made a significant breakthrough in the education sector of a Eurasian country by securing Turkmenistan’s first significant higher education project.
