The Solution

More than 70 Dahua IP cameras were deployed throughout the warehouse, with the majority using 8 megapixel resolution. The system provides extensive coverage across the facility with no intended blind spots, clear 24 hour monitoring, high resolution imaging, AI powered detection and analytics, real time alerts, local video recording and playback and remote mobile monitoring.

The project was later expanded to include facial recognition, access control, video door intercom and supporting ancillary products, creating a more complete security infrastructure covering both video security and controlled entry.

AI powered detection and alerts support more than traditional security monitoring. They also contribute to crime detection, health and safety, site awareness and operational efficiency, making the system part of the wider operational infrastructure of the warehouse.

Remote visibility was particularly important to GIRAF Logistics. Using DMSS, authorised users can review activity from a mobile phone even when away from the warehouse, including during nighttime hours. Video is also stored locally, allowing recorded footage to be reviewed whenever required.

A major strength of the project was the collaboration between GIRAF Logistics, Mast Digital, KONECT Electrical and Dahua Technology. Mast Digital worked closely with KONECT to ensure that the correct products were specified, quoted and supplied quickly, reducing lead times and helping the site become operational without unnecessary delay.

During the project, representatives from Mast Digital and Dahua Technology also visited the site to provide additional support and demonstrate technologies including WizSeek, highlighting the future potential for advanced AI assisted search and intelligent video applications within logistics and warehouse environments.

The Result

The completed system provides comprehensive security coverage throughout the 70,000 sq. ft. logistics facility, with more than 70 Dahua IP cameras delivering high quality video across the warehouse.

AI powered detection and analytics support security, crime detection, health and safety and wider operational awareness, while facial recognition, access control and video intercom extend protection beyond video monitoring alone.

DMSS gives authorised users remote visibility of the warehouse, allowing management to review activity when away from site and providing greater confidence that the facility remains safe and secure.

Strong collaboration between Dahua Technology, Mast Digital and KONECT Electrical reduced lead times and enabled rapid deployment. The result is a scalable security infrastructure that protects people, products and property while also supporting business continuity and the future operational needs of GIRAF Logistics.
