As hospitality continues to embrace digital transformation, World Heart Hotel in Baghdad, Iraq, has enhanced its security, operational efficiency, and guest experience through an integrated Dahua Technology solution. Working closely with its local partner, Dahua deployed a comprehensive ecosystem covering surveillance, access and vehicle management, entrance security, and professional display systems, all unified through a centralized management platform to create a safer, smarter, and more efficient hospitality environment.
Overview
World Heart Hotel is one of the largest and most prestigious hotels in Baghdad, Iraq. As a major hospitality property serving guests while supporting a wide range of hotel operations, meetings, and entertainment activities, the hotel required a technology infrastructure capable of addressing both security and operational demands.
With requirements extending beyond conventional video surveillance, World Heart Hotel needed an integrated approach that could protect indoor and outdoor areas, manage staff and visitor access, secure vehicle entrances, support professional meeting and entertainment facilities, and provide operators with a unified view of the entire property.
Challenges
The hotel faced several operational and security challenges across its large property. It required comprehensive indoor and outdoor surveillance, centralized monitoring of different facilities, and stronger access management using modern authentication technologies. Pedestrian and vehicle entrances also needed enhanced protection while maintaining a smooth experience for guests, staff, and authorized visitors. In addition, the hotel sought professional display technologies for meetings, presentations, communications, and entertainment, while ensuring that all systems could be managed through one intelligent platform.
Solutions
To address the aforementioned requirements, Dahua deployed an integrated solution combining an intelligent CCTV surveillance system, AI cameras, face recognition access control terminals, walk-through metal detection gates, automatic vehicle barriers, license plate recognition (ANPR), the Dahua DSS central management platform, indoor LED displays, Interactive Flat Panels, and a cinema LED display.
The surveillance system provides comprehensive indoor and outdoor coverage, enabling real-time monitoring and more proactive security management. Face recognition terminals offer fast, secure, and touch-free access for authorized personnel, while walk-through metal detectors strengthen visitor screening without unnecessarily disrupting entry. Automatic barriers and ANPR simplify vehicle access management and reinforce perimeter security.
At the core of the deployment is the Dahua DSS platform, which brings the hotel's security systems together within one centralized management environment. This enables operators to monitor and manage the property more efficiently instead of working across separate systems. Meanwhile, large-format LED displays, Interactive Flat Panels, and the cinema LED display support meetings, presentations, hotel communications, and entertainment, further enhancing the hotel's facilities and guest experience.
Results
The completed project has strengthened guest and staff safety while improving operational efficiency throughout World Heart Hotel. Centralized monitoring provides better visibility across the property, while face recognition, visitor screening, and automated vehicle management enable faster and more secure access control. The deployment has also enhanced the hotel's meeting and entertainment capabilities through professional display technologies.
